Minerals...

You just never know what you will see here. :)

I have a thing for close-ups. Or "intimate landscapes" as I prefer to call them. Some are obvious, while others are a bit more complex or confusing. Don't ask me what they are. I won't tell you even if I know. Which is questionable anyway. I Just enjoy the strangeness that are minerals. :)

Are these wierd, or what?! I'll throw in a few more just for fun. Fun for me anyway. Let me know if there is something you want to see and I will try to get it out here.

Landscapes...

I suppose I have influence from several photographers such as Elliott Porter, Ansel Adams, Galen Rowell, and more. I do have to give more than just a little credit to my friend and mentor Dick Stitt. He introduced a 12-year old boy to a "real" camera and photography so many years ago. I am eternally grateful for all he has done in my life.

I love landscapes. I tend to look at the world in a veritical format. That can be difficult for landscapes as so many people seem to see their world horizontally. I figure different perspectives are a good thing as you will see many of my photos in the veritical. I hope you enjoy the samples of my work.

Photos and such...

I am more apt to put photos out here than share my deepest thoughts and secrets. Who the heck wants to read what I have to say anyway?! :) My photos are much more fun. I will add photos from time to time. Feel free to comment, but most of my photography I shoot because I like it.

I like to play around with digital images. Some I over saturate, while others I turn to black and white. Many of them make great backgrounds or screen savers. Hope you enjoy...

I have a strange fascination with minerals and such. It allows me to shoot the shape, pattern, texture, and form. I typically shoot it pretty close-up to draw attention to the detail. The changing of colors is only used to enhance the image in my own eye. I am pretty traditional when it comes to images as I do not utilize PhotoShop to its' full pothential. I may crop, saturate, or remove color, but tend to keep the image pretty close to the original idea. If it is really bad, I jsut delete it and try again.
