Erik Hite Foundation 5K Fun Run and 2 Mile Family Fun Walk

2013 Erik Hite Foundation
5K Fun Run and 2 Mile Family Fun Walk

We participated in this event in Tucson the day before the Run to Remember in Phoenix.  There is nothing like getting in some extra exercise with an extended weekend.  And it was for another great cause.

Mission
The Erik Hite Foundation is exclusively for charitable, childcare, educational and family outreach purposes. Moreover, the EHF has been established to solicit and re-distribute funds and/or goods to assist with the funding and undertaking of programs and activities designed to strengthen the services, organization, performance, competence, professionalism and morale of the Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Departments, in the City of Tucson, Arizona, and its commissioned and non-commissioned members.

Company Overview
The Erik Hite Foundation, is a non-profit organization that has been established to memorialize the life and sacrifice of Officer Erik D. Hite, and to provide assistance by developing child care centers, as well as education and family outreach programs, to the families of Fallen Officers, active duty law enforcement, and emergency services employees of the City of Tucson, Pima County Government, State of Arizona, and the federal government.

Thanks to all the participants, volunteers, and organizations that helped to make this event a success.  You make the difference.

 From their Facebook page;
"Great news everyone! Thanks to ALL participants, Sponsors and our Volunteers, we raised $6,000 on our 5K event. We are so excited to send 100% of these Funds to our Child Care Center. Special Thanks to Pima County Supervisor Ally Miller, if you wouldn't have stepped in to help us, we would have not raised this much!! Thank you for believing in what we do for our First Responders!!!"
