National Police Week 2009
I am including a few of the images that we shot during National Police Week 2009 in Washington, D.C. It was a fantastic week full of emotion and honor. We met a lot of wonderful people and were treated with respect and dignity.
Wednesday, May 13 - 21st Annual Candlelight Vigil at theNational Law Enforcement Officers Memorial
Friday, May 15 - National Peace Officers' Memorial ServiceUnited States Capitol
Over 17,000 names of law enforcement officer who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
133 names added of those killed in the line of duty in 2008.
254 added in 2009 from historical list, recently verified.
One name is one too many.

I enjoy sharing the experiences through words and images. Glad there are folks out here to take a look.
To be honest, I never knew that there was a community for "officers" (hope I don't offend anyone with the terminology). Someone I hold dear to me lost someone that was an officer. I'm a United States Marine and can see the camaraderie and family-hood that this community has, and it reminds me of my brothers in arms. This coming from a US Marine, Semper Fidelis and stay motivated. Thank you for all that you all do.
