Your newspaper clippings and the picture of your Dad's name engraved on the wall put the "lump" in my throat-those made the event more personal for me. Thanks for sharing, and I'm so happy you two had the opportunity to connect with others at the event!

-Jason and MelissaJasonandMelissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05808426939498495691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2822792775859790837.post-34104609220835356512016-05-24T12:21:36.961-04:002016-05-24T12:21:36.961-04:00Thank you Blake!

So much is done honoring all our fallen Brothers in Blue that most people have no idea the support and dedication that is freely offered and given every day. Our nation is truly dependant on our law enforcement officers and everyone associated with the brotherhood. My great appreciation to you for sharing this with our public.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06730265120132722937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2822792775859790837.post-42949059966045062302016-05-22T10:29:49.693-04:002016-05-22T10:29:49.693-04:00Thanks for the great comment Heather C. Before your posts and sharing, I admit I had very little awareness of how many and how often officers are killed in the line of duty, and moreso, the effect these losses have on the families. I had never seen that photo of you with your Mother accepting the Medal of Valor for your Dad. The image reminded me of that iconic photo of JFK's son standing next to his mother at the funeral. What a tragedy, no one should have to experience a loss like that at such a young age. The candlelight vigil looked very moving, and yes, the bagpipes get to me every time too. Your dedication to sharing and raising awareness for officers and families is a true and continuing tribute to your father. Heather C.noreply@blogger.com
